[He kisses away her annoyance. He kisses her and she can almost forget what she saw in her dreams. And then his hands drift down from her cheeks to wrap around her throat and there's no way to hide how her pulse judders. Even without any real pressure, she's suddenly more aware of her breathing, of how his weight on top of her makes it just a little harder for her lungs to fully expand — not to mention the difficulty of sneaking breaths in between kisses. It taps into fears she didn't even know she had, ones buried well below conscious thought.
