[Mako doesn't stick around to watch Hei pet Korra, or how she leans into his touch. He doesn't want to see how damn happy she looks, now that pleasure no longer drowns out the pain. It's so stupidly clear that she loves him, It's like she's been telling him all along — she isn't the Korra he knows. She's been through so much that he wasn't there for, but Hei has.
