[The worst part isn't the embarrassment of coming so quickly. It's not the other guy's obvious disdain. The worst part is the way Korra says Don’t be a jerk as she elbows him. That's what she always called him. They never did pet names, but it was Korra's insult of choice and he was pretty much always the target. It's such a stupid thing to miss, the way she'd yell at him when she was angry or even just annoyed. It's a ridiculous thing to break your heart over.
He puts up a token resistance as she tugs him onto the bed and tells him he should clean her up, but he can't really say no to her. A part of him regrets every time he said no to her in the past, like somehow things would've been different if he'd said "yes." He wipes off her skin without looking at her — but refusing to look at her is just as much a giveaway as meeting her eyes and letting her see how much this hurts. So he leans over and cleans up the sticky residue with his tongue, worship and apology in every kiss.]
